FAQs

IS CHIROPRACTIC COVERED BY MY INSURANCE, AND IF SO DO I NEED A REFERRAL?

Most health care plans do cover chiropractic care.  Chiropractors are first contact physicians, which means that a referral from an MD is typically not needed to visit a chiropractor.

WHAT CONDITIONS DO CHIROPRACTORS TREAT?

Chiropractic is used to treat many conditions including, but not limited to, back pain, neck pain, headaches, carpal tunnel, sciatica, and plantar fasciitis.

IS CHIROPRACTIC TREATMENT SAFE?

Chiropractic is widely recognized as one of the safest, drug free non-invasive therapies available for the treatment of neuromusculoskeletal complaints. It has an excellent safety record.

HOW IS A CHIROPRACTIC ADJUSTMENT PERFORMED?

The chiropractor typically uses his/her hands to manipulate the joints of the body, particularly the spine in order to reduce pain, and restore joint function. It is a highly controlled procedure that rarely causes discomfort.
